A passion for wine since 2008
Classic Vins is an importer, agent, distributor and retailer of wines from around the world, mostly France and Spain. Founded in 2008, the house was created to share our passion for wine and gastronomy. We visit vineyards regularly to deepen our knowledge and bring you wines with character.
We carry more than 600 references — some are not on the website, do not hesitate to contact us for any further requests.

Jean-Louis Le Guil
Sommelier & co-founder
He started in Michelin-starred restaurants in Bath (Lucknam Park, Priory), then moved to London, where he earned the WSET Diploma. Manager at Oddbins, buyer at Harvey Nichols, he went to Spain and Andorra to deepen his skills, learning Spanish and Catalan. There he met Bertrand Ferré at L’Excellence, and in 2008 Classic Vins was born.

Sommelier & co-founder
Graduated in hospitality from the catering school of Toulouse, he revealed himself at the sommelier school (Lycée Renée-Bonnet) and topped his class. Head sommelier at 20 at Michel Trama’s, he joined the L’Excellence group (Andorra and Barcelona) at 24. « Best Boutique Wines and Gastronomy of Spain » in 2004. Since 2008 he runs their own distribution with Jean-Louis: Classic Vins 1929.
